Personal experience...
When testing this simple product with our puppy, it helped encourage others to give us space and respect when out socialising and training, and made people think and ask instead of rushing in to pet the puppy (without asking) and interrupting our training.
Equally useful when you're simply not caffeinated enough to deal with people and just want to get on with your walk ;)
